We crazy unknowing slaves, we feel "something is wrong" but can't scratch the itch. So where does one start? .. what to do about the malaise we find ourselves in? .. a few large sturdy steps backwards would be a reasonable road to take, after all, what we're feeling in the here & now was borne in the past, accumulated pent-up feelings, necessary & sometime unwilling compromise all add together often bringing us to a point of impotence or explosion ... agreements made, and thrown aside, plans for a bright future binned in favour of a lesser but safe" status quo, all materialising pressures today, that at the outset of adulthood or our relationship were not planned for but arrive through said compromises & the inability to individually or mutually, confront problems life brings to us with positive outcomes, being unable or unwilling to settle them, and move forward more harmoniously. There is great need to understand ourselves, what we have done in the past, to come to terms with such, forgiving one's self, and though this may sound like an old cliché, we must first learn to love ourself, notwithstanding all our past deeds. One of the beauties of life is change, an essential enjoyable but most importantly, a needed part, alas, individual stagnation & relationships often bring to a halt this natural change in our experience, while our early conditioning for life & subsequent realisations that our teachers were merely doing a job on us might slowly become apparent. When leaving school, our conditioning at the forefront, takes us into the mainstream, sadly we begin to re-learn, and find the bottom line of life in this "new" man-made world of commerce is, dog eat dog, man eat man, wherein daily we find contradictions to all we've been taught, not least viewed from the angle of our conscience, but also most established "man-made" religions .. We learnt a set of morals that in the "so called real world" have little meaning other than that they were pumped into us during our "conditioning", presently serving as a sounding board & allowing our feelings & minds moments of insight, insight often pushed towards the door of forgetfulness. Regardless, we witness confusion & the devastation that mankind wreaks upon itself through every newspaper, and media outlet .. not really a place where one would have chosen to bring up the children one loves, so we manifest a divide in our imagination, whereby hardships happening to peoples in our own lands, let alone happenings overseas, are allowed to remain distant, we imagine there's no conflict between what's happening in for instance in The Middle East & our daily life, that lives lost there & at home, are not worth concerning ourselves with, unfortunately, we turn away from the dirty work that the elite & their warmachine is doing in our name, what polticians are manifesting at home, somehow finding less & less conflict within our conscience. Often we then strive to shield our young from the horrific fallout of this new age democratic empire building, we ignore & refuse to think or talk about such things, unless of course one of the Sun, Mail, Times newspaper readers blindly regurgitating govenment propaganda & abuse. We are all one, mankind is one nation of man, to maim or kill anyone is to hurt ourself, when we understand this & act out life accordingly, we can be at one with ourself, we can then love ourself. Eventually many become insular, over protective, with a sprinkling of paranoia added to our recipe via media hype, all this in place of continued change and our children's rightful exposure to youthful enjoyment of freedom, long classified as possible exposure to harm. This seemingly small act of "protection" alone can herald the downfall of expectation, love for humanity, thus, in the end, we lack love for ourselves, we're removed from change, and placed into a cocoon of "existence", wherein boredom resides, the mind no longer able to find original thought, the will to partake responsibly, being locked away within the self imposed box we each choose to live within, it's boundaries & restrictions growing stronger the longer we remain.
