Barn Owl ... beside The Barn Owl there are four other species of Owl that live wild in the Uk ... The Little Owl,The Tawny Owl, and the Short Eared and the Long-Eared Owls. Barn Owls are nocturnal, and are best seen in late afternoon, as in this video, the evening or during the early morning. These birds are wonderful hunters, having exceptional hearing that allows them to hunt "unseen" game hiding/living in long grasses, with their big eyes designed for hunting & getting about at night ... and a heart shaped face, buff back and wings and pure white under parts , with the female having a little more buff colour here ... the Barn Owl is a distinctive, and much loved & iconic countryside bird which can be seen across the UK
